"Ant-man and the Wasp"'s stakes are a lot lower than "Avengers: Infinity War" which is refreshing. With that being said, the stakes could have been a bit higher. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly have great charisma as the titular characters. The supporting cast for the most part do exceptional as well, especially Michael Peña. Certain elements of the plot could be better explained, but for the most part this movie is very easy to follow. The humor is handled well. Not only is this movie funny, it has a great message about family and doing what you need to do to protect the ones you love. The effects are fun and look really nice. The villain, Ghost played by Hannah John-Camen, is complex and her motives are completely understandable. This movie, in essence, is a good palate cleanser from all the other high-stake superhero flicks out there. Overall, I give this film an 7.5/10.
