The Late Late Show host, James Corden does the voice work for the titular character and is surrounded by other notable actors as well. Margot Robbie and Daisy Ridley do decent jobs as voice actors also. This film has has a lot of charm and is a fun film for the whole family. It isn't as funny as it had the potential to be, but it still delivers some laughs. This children's book adaptation has elements from the beloved books and also adds in modern elements to make the story more relatable to modern audiences. The music selection is odd and sometimes the songs seem out of place. The real people characters can be sympathetic, but they make decisions that are ridiculous and sometimes their motives aren't very clear or well thought out. The animal characters, especially Peter Rabbit, are given a bit of background and are the most thought-out characters in the film. The use of narration could have had a bigger impact, but it is too spread out that it feels out of place when it is used. The story is simple, which is nice for a casual viewing. The aim of the film is to entertain children and the substance of the story fills that role well. It's brief runtime is perfect because had this movie been much longer it could have lost a lot of it's charm. The animation of the animals looks good and the movie can be really fun at times. It is a good film for older kids and can be enjoyed with their parents also. Overall, I give this film a 5/10.
