"Daddy's Home 2" is one of the most unnecessary sequels ever, but it does have it's moments. There are some really funny moments, and some over the top slapstick which can be funny or too excessive at times. The characters don't have a lot of substance and the acting is mediocre, especially with the stout cast this film has. The story premise is fun, even if the humorous potential is set aside for a more slapstick approach. The characters are pretty flat, but their is a little bit of growth for some of them which is nice. This movie just doesn't venture out and do anything the audience probably has't already seen before. It is just about as good as the first one, so if you liked the first one, you will probably find this one enjoyable. If not, don't bother. Overall, I give this movie a 5/10.
