Jordan Peele's directorial debut could not have gone any better. "Get Out", an original screenplay by Peele, works on several different levels. It is a psychological horror, but also contains humor. This movie is very well thought out and has several metaphors that can have very deep meanings whether in the film or in real life. Daniel Kaluuya stars in the lead role and does fantastic. The supporting cast all do very well also. The dialogue is so well written that the whole movie's meaning changes after watching it again. The dialogue is filled with hidden messages and foreshadowing. However, it is the non-obvious way these things are sewn into the dialogue that make it so enjoyable. The use of music in this movie is great. It is both catchy and creepy, which is how this movie feels as a whole. The way "Get Out" handles the problem of racism is creepy and entertaining. The way it provokes the viewers to think is great. It is a brief movie, but it is very potent it it's content and does not have any fluff. This is a must watch movie. Not only is it one of the best from 2017, it is one of the best movies made for quite a while. Peele has made a masterpiece and it will be remembered not only as a smart horror film, but as a great film. Overall, I give this film a 10/10.
