"Sisters" stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and the chemistry between the two is great. Additionally, this comedy is able to combine vulgarity with an emotional core very well. That being said, there are opportunities for more laughs that are either not capitalized on or are not fully realized. For the most part this movie is hilarious. Some of the humor is too much gross out humor to be tasteful, but there are plenty of jokes that are genuinely funny. The story as a whole is solid enough for a silly comedy, but actually carries enough weight to be entertaining beyond the laughs. The characters are sympathetic and Poehler and Fey each bring their characters to life very effectively. The supporting cast also pack a few laughs with them and enhance this comedy from being just another "crazy party" flick. Overall, I give this film a 6.5/10.
