"Just Friends" is about what you would expect. It is a stereotypical romantic comedy that has plenty of slapstick. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Amy Smart, and Anna Faris, this film has actors that can supply laughs. Anna Faris particularly steals the show with her scenes. She provides a lot of laughs. However the acting as a whole in the film is not great. It's not awful acting, just not great. The characters are not very likable which is problematic for a romantic comedy that wants you to be cheering for the couple to get together. This is mainly because the characters are all really shallow. A lot of the jokes fall flat and are sometimes just rude or immature. Some of the jokes are genuinely funny though. The premise of "getting out of the friend-zone" can be fun, but the execution of it though is a bit dull though. This is a rom-com that is not an essential one to watch by any means, but for what it is, it's not terrible. It has laughs and some sentiment, it's a good one to watch if want a few laughs and are a hopeless romantic. Overall, I give this film a 5/10.
