Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Tiffany Haddish, and Jada Pinkett Smith fit their characters perfectly making them compelling and sympathetic. This comedy is well-written and supplies plenty of laughs. The movie does run a bit too long, which creates for some dull moments with jokes that miss the mark. However, the characters are given more depth than characters in similar type movies which is refreshing. Each character is given a struggle and is able to overcome their struggle in compelling ways. The balance of different types of comedy works well and helps to make a lot of the jokes better. The biggest thing holding this comedy from truly being a great comedy is that it spends too much time being a concert video. If it was about 10-15 minutes shorter it would have fared better. This is a good, not great comedy. The acting is great and the story is decent with some elements really being well done. This is not an essential comedy to see, but is one that can be enjoyed if you like the "lifelong friends go on a wild drunk adventure" genre movies. Overall, I give this film a 6/10.
