My Cousin Vinny is a fun and hilarious ride. Joe Pesci is great as the titular character and Marisa Tomei is the perfect compliment to Pesci. This comedy keeps the humor funny without trouncing around in forced dirty jokes. The story is delightfully original, while still sticking to common conventions. The way Pesci and Tomei act with each other takes this film to another level in relation to "legal-battle" comedies. The plot is predictable, but this film is not aiming to through any twists at you. The characters have to overcome obstacles to meet their end goal, which is compelling. Think of Joe Pesci's "you think I'm funny?" scene from Goodfellas, and you have his character in My Cousin Vinny. There is a lot to like about this movie and it is always worth a revisit here and there. Overall, I would give it a 7/10.
